Turning your vision into a simple, achievable plan

Do you have a vision of the future you really want?

Do you have goals that seem to remain just that - goals, with no action being taken?

Do you find yourself thinking, “I wish I was doing this… I wish I had that…”?

And do you have these visions, goals and desires - but no real idea where to start?

You’re not alone.

So many women have dreams for their life, but feel like that’s all they’ll ever be… because they don’t know how to turn them into a simple, doable, step-by-step plan.

An aligned plan that gives them direction, purpose and hope.

A plan that helps them feel like they’re actually moving towards what they want - instead of drifting further away from it.

In this blog, I’m going to walk you through simple steps you can use to create a clear path forward - a path that leads you toward your goals, your vision, and the life you truly want.

Why We Get Stuck - And Let It Stop Us From Taking Action

When we know what we want, but don’t have a clear plan for how to achieve it, we rarely make real progress.

Think about it like this…

If you’re driving somewhere new, you need to know how to get there, right?

You need a sense of direction.
You need to know which turns to take.
And you probably want a rough idea of how long it might take to arrive.

Without that, you end up driving around in circles - feeling lost and not really getting anywhere.

Achieving our dreams and goals is exactly the same.

If we don’t have direction…
If we don’t know which steps to take…
If we have no sense of what the path might look like…

We move through life simply hoping we’re heading the right way.

And that can feel overwhelming, frustrating and disheartening.

I don’t know about you, but I’d much rather have a sense of certainty that what I’m doing is actually moving me forward.

The key is to:

  • get clear on what you want

  • understand where you are now

  • identify where you need to be

  • and then map out what needs to happen in between

That space in between (the gap), is where your goal setting and action planning live.

But this isn’t about creating the perfect plan.

It’s about creating a simple, doable plan that you can actually follow.

A plan that feels aligned.
A plan that gives you direction.
And a plan that you can adjust and adapt as you go.

So how do you actually turn your vision into something real?

Here are 5 simple steps you can follow to create a clear, achievable plan:

Step 1: Get Clear on Your Vision

Before you can create a plan, you need to be clear on what you’re actually working towards.
This is about taking a step back and getting honest with yourself about what you truly want.

  • What do you actually want?

  • How do you want your life to feel?

  • What would your “ideal” look like?

  • Is this in alignment with who you really are?

  • What specifically do you want to change?

If you’re feeling a little unsure about what you truly want, or you’re struggling to get clear on your direction, I’ve created something to help.

My Essential Life Reset Checklist will guide you through simple steps to help you gain clarity, create direction and start moving forward.

Step 2: Break It Down

Once you have a vision, the next step is to break it down into smaller, more manageable pieces.
This is where it starts to feel possible.

Take your vision or goal and ask:

  • What would need to happen for this to become real?

  • If this was already my reality, what would I have done to get there?

  • How can I break this down into smaller chunks?

  • What is already within my control?

Step 3: Choose ONE Focus

Once you’ve broken your vision down, the next step is to choose one area to focus on first.

This is where many people get stuck - because they feel like everything is important.

But the truth is… trying to do everything at once is what keeps you stuck.

Choosing one focus helps to reduce overwhelm instantly.

  • What matters most right now?

  • What will make the biggest difference?

  • What feels most aligned?

  • What feels manageable?

  • What would I choose if I trusted myself?

Step 4: Turn It Into Simple Actions

Once you’ve chosen your focus, the next step is to turn it into actions.

This is where your vision starts to become something you can actually move toward - one step at a time.

It doesn’t need to be perfect - make it practical and keep these actions realistic and achievable.

  • What’s the easiest thing you could do right now to move toward this?

  • What new habit could you start that is aligned with your goal?

  • What are 2–3 other small steps you can take this week?

  • How can you make this smaller?

Step 5: Take Imperfect Action

Now comes the most important part… actually taking action.

You don’t have to wait until you ‘feel’ ready.

It’s through taking action that we build confidence and learn as we go.

  • When will I do this?

  • What am I waiting for?

  • What can I do consistently?

  • What would I do if I had no fear?

  • What can I do even though I might not ‘feel’ ready?

As with any type of goal setting, it’s important to take a moment to think about the challenges or obstacles you might encounter.

What might get in the way?
What could slow your momentum or feel like a hurdle along the way?
And how can you plan for these so they don’t completely derail you?

If you do come up against obstacles, ask yourself:
What could I do differently here?

It’s also helpful to set small benchmarks along the way, so you can check in and see whether you’re still moving in the direction you want.

Small steps in the right direction can end up being the biggest step of your life.

While creating a plan for your dreams and goals might feel a little time-consuming at the start, it gives you so much more clarity and direction than just doing things randomly here and there.

And those small, consistent steps?
They build confidence.
They build momentum.
And they increase your motivation to keep going.

You might not feel 100% confident starting something new…
but you can still take that first step - send the message, go to the class, start the habit.

That’s how momentum is built.

This isn’t about getting everything right.
It’s about showing up, taking a step, and building trust in yourself along the way.

And remember - the goal isn’t just to get what you want…
It’s to feel how you want to feel, and become who you want to be, on the journey of creating it.

If you have a vision, dreams or goals, and you’re struggling to achieve them, you don’t have to work it out on your own.
